Reviews You Can Trust
Here are a few facts about me ……
Canada is my home. I love to read … all kinds of books …. from biographies to regular fiction, murder mysteries to romances, fantasies and science fiction, and everything in between, or I wouldn’t be here. I have been reading since forever and don’t intend to stop.
I have reviewed romance books for other sites and blogs since 2006 and decided to set up the blog http://reviewsbyjessewave.blogspot.com on April 8, 2008 on the advice of my friend Kimberly, since this gave me the ability to review only those books I wanted to, in my preferred subgenre of Male/Male romances which I love because of the characterizations and the stories. I moved to this website in July 2009 because the blog had a few built-in constraints and limitations affecting its efficiency as well as service. Hopefully the website will give bloggers a pleasant experience when logging on and while visiting. Please be patient as there’s still a lot of work to be done.
I couldn’t do this on my own and I want to express my sincere appreciation to the guest reviewers who are also my friends. My heartfelt thanks to Aunt Lynn, Jenre, Kassa,, Lily, Tj, Buda, John, Feliz, Val, Cole and Tam who writes all of the fun posts that you enjoy so much. Also thanks to all the guest bloggers who talk about topics close to their hearts. To Christian aka Shoganrea, who is our Webmaster and without whom this website would not have been possible, I owe you everything. To the ‘regulars’ on the blog — you rock!
A huge thank-you to Erastes, a wonderful and very successful author of mostly historical M/M romances, who has written many great posts for the site.
To Josh Lanyon our newest author contributor, whose monthly columns are a source of insightful and technical advice on writing for authors – my grateful thanks and appreciation. Josh is well known in the M/M world and he writes mainly murder mysteries and action/adventure stories – he has an extremely busy schedule and we are very lucky to have him as our author contributor.
Ethan Day, another author whose books I love, is now a semi regular contributor on the site. Ethan writes columns mostly about why the trajectory of his life is so different from everyone else’s. Ethan you rock every which way and upside down.
Enjoy your visit and please come back soon.

Your Attention is Arbitrary:
I have enjoyed many authors over the years. I’ve perused many different genre’s and have even become absorbed in some works and worlds for years. Lately though, I have discovered writers in a genre that I can’t tear myself away from. This male/male or m/m, gay romance and even transgender genre is fascinating to me. \This has been a journey of self-discovery (no, I’m not gay) and a journey of understanding and awakening, that has really spoken to me. Is it the genre or the writers? I don’t know. What I do know, is that I want to share these authors and books with anyone who is interested in reading some of the best writing I have come across.
Parts of me are frustrated that these authors have pigeon-holed themselves into a little corner of the literary universe. Another part of me, though, is thrilled that I have “discovered” something special. I find I only want to share it with others that will appreciate the wonderfulness of it. If those who enjoy these books want to explore and enjoy this genre with me, all the better. Of course, your attention is arbitrary. This isn’t a genre for the masses. I would say that it serves a very specific audience.
I welcome all comments and questions. This is a journey that I’d rather take with others. I need someone to keep me on track and paying attention (gasp). That way, I can plunder your thoughts and ideas and therefore find myself more time to actually read.
Happy reading,
Lisa Trejo

This is where we combine our love of all things Sexy! We read erotic, BDSM, new adult and young adult romance, and whilst Becs inhales books and dreams of erotic liaisons with fictional boyfriends, Liz loves a bad boy, preferably tattooed and pierced for her pleasure....in whatever genre they can be found. Who doesn't want that? And Monique... well, she drools over her boys who love boys and you will very often find her up in the early hours, reading just one more chapter!

Welcome to Joyfully Jay! I started this blog because I love to read and wanted a place to share my thoughts with other readers and lovers of romance. I read primarily m/m romance so that is the main focus of Joyfully Jay, but we may occasionally throw some other stuff in as well. In addition to book reviews, I frequently host author guest posts, giveaways, and blog tours. I also periodically run theme weeks focusing on different tropes and on occasion write posts on various romance topics. So lots of fun stuff and we keep quite busy here!
So, a bit about me. I have a husband and two daughters that I adore and two cats who seem to rule the house. I have been an avid reader since I was a child and have loved romance for years. I typically read 3-5 books a week and I have a towering TBR pile that I will never conquer. In my off-line life I work part-time from home writing web content and trying to make English out of the stuff my IT department writes. Of course writing about romance is much more fun!
Let’s see… I love anything chocolate and peanut butter, and lately anything with caramel and sea salt. I am a big sweet and salty girl (I’ve been known to drink beer with m&ms but don’t tell anyone). I love the beach, love lazy days, and love to curl up with a good book.
I am thrilled that you stopped by and hope you like it here! Feel free to get in touch if you ever want to chat!
Associate ReviewersMelanie
Melanie M is a former Park Naturalist and lover of m/m fiction. When she is not reading or reviewing, she is busy in her gardens, rigorously supervised by her three terriers and an outspoken foul mouthed parrot. She loves to knit but with the terrors stealing the yarn, it is a challenge. Bad vocabulary makes her crazy and her thoughts on the subject can be found at her blog Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words.
Sammy
Sammy is a part time kindergarten teacher and a full time playwright. When not writing or directing children’s plays, she can be found curled up in her living room, Kindle in hand, with a dreamy faraway smile on her face.
Crissy
Crissy is an ophthalmic assistant (that’s eyes) by day and a lover of m/m fiction by night. She owns two rescue dogs that spend the evening curled up to her while she reads. She’s an extraordinary aunt to her beautiful niece and energetic nephew. Most evenings you can find her curled up on the sofa with the dogs and her Kindle catching up on her out of control TBR list.
Amy
Amy is a mom and wife to three energetic kids and one supportive, super funny husband. She also spends an insane amount of time and money reading stories about beautiful men. Amy has a dream to one day retire to the Oregon Coast, where she and her husband will own a bookstore and spend their days reading on the beach.

Welcome to The Novel Approach, and thanks so much for visiting our site! In case you haven’t noticed yet, TNA is an LGBT-focused blog dedicated to the celebration of books, our shared addiction to reading, and to our strongly held conviction that Love Is Love.
Our staff consists of four reviewers, Bruce, Tina, Jackie, and Lisa, who are each dedicated to being a source of honest, well thought out, and respectful points of view on the books we read.
About Bruce:
Bruce is a father of three, husband, and physician. He was introduced to the M/M romance genre by his husband and jumped at the chance to do hot, steamy research for his husband, the writer. When Bruce does not have his head buried in a book, he spends his time cooking, tending to the children’s busy lives, and perfects his creative blowing skills making colorful glass works of art.
About Tina:
Hello my name is Tina and I am an addict. Isn’t that the way I was supposed to introduce myself? Oh, but I am. I love to read. As far back as I can remember my mom would take us to the library each Saturday and I could take home as many books as I could carry. I built some biceps in my younger years.
Since the advent of the e-reader, life is much lighter, if not easier.
While real life sometimes is hard, reading gives me a place to go where it is safe and comfortable. If there isn’t a Happily Ever After, at least there’s a Happy For Now. Books give me a place where I can cry without having to explain why. And stop crying when the book ends. Between laughing out loud and crying, my son thinks I am a crazy old book lady. Well, he may have a point.
I have a husband of 26 years and two wonderful children. I am also biased.
Having attended a fundamental Baptist church for 20 years, I came away with two things; Closed minds should come with closed mouths and I am proud to be straight but not narrow.
About Jackie:
My name is Jackie McKenzie. I am a 38 yr. old mother to the two most beautiful girls in the world. I have been married for 15 years to the best man ever. I have two of the hardest jobs in the world: I am a Navy wife and a stay at home mom. I wouldn’t trade either job for anything…well maybe for Sam Winchester!!!
I spend most of my day reading while the kids are at school, then it is homework, trips to the library, mall and whatever the rage is this week. When I want to relax, it’s a cup of coffee, a soft lap blanket, and a good book.
About Lisa:
I’m a reading junkie. There, I said it. I’m addicted to the high of living other people’s lives and traveling to other worlds on the words from an author’s imagination. I read for pleasure, read to learn, read to escape, read with the hope that when I finish a book I’ll have found characters to fall in love with, stories that will have touched me emotionally, made me laugh, made me feel.
I’m a wife and mom to three amazing little humans (yes, I’m biased), and I eat and breathe and love by the single mantra, “live and let live.”
**Please Note: If you’re an author who is seeing a review of his or her work on this site, the titles have either been purchased by us or were offered to us by your publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.**
Welcome and Cheers!

MM Good Book Reviews is the brain child of independent reviewer Portia de Moncur. The goals are simple. Provide a review site without all the bells and whistles; just honest Book Reviews, Author Interviews and an occasional Sexy Picsto inspire.
The MM genre is growing and the quality of available books, both digital and print, gets better every year. Hopefully, MM Good Book Reviews will be a tool to help you find books that suit your palatte. There aren’t too many sub-genres that are not showing up within the MM genre. Paranormal, contemporary, and romantic suspense make up most of the romance offerings. But, horror, thrillers and Sci-fi are making a nice showing. The newest, I think, is Steampunk, and there is still a lot of room for growth there.
Hopefully, we’ll be able to introduce you to a writer Amazon forgot to add to your recommendation page. Several newbie writers, some new to publication, others new to the genre are in queue for review. I can’t wait to look back and say, “I reviewed his/her stuff when she was just getting started…” Finding books is not the issue; finding books worth buying and reading can be. I have some snarky thoughts concerning that issue that I’ll share during my Friday Rants.
Anyway, off my soapbox. Some of the brightest stars within the MM romance genre have already committed to have their latest releases reviews. From sweet romances with just a hint of passion, to the nastiest erotica available MM Good Book Reviews is open to all submission. I don’t promise we will promote any and everything, but we will attempt to read with open minds. Note: Books containing issues offensive to most readers; pedophilia, bestiality, rape and gratuitous violence will , if reviewed, be labeled as such: Proceed with Caution.
One of the features, I’m most excited about will be the Tips from the Pros column. I see no reason to reinvent the wheel. That being said, I’ve asked published authors to share some of their thoughts on how to write quality stories that readers will love and publishers will buy.
So, whether you are new to the genre or like me, a real MM junkie, MM Good Book Reviews can help you to decide whichNew Releases and Reader Favorites are right for you.
Enjoy,
Portia
